Caitlin Brotz-McNitt believes children should grow up in a simple, joyful, and wholesome place – but she also recognizes that this is not the reality for many. She believes community leaders must help kids reach their highest potential, investing time and resources to build stronger futures.
Caitlin opened Olivü 426 in downtown Sheboygan in 2006. Now an internationally-recognized company, her natural beauty, skin, and home care products have been featured in swag bags at the Golden Globes, Oscars, and Emmy Awards. Recently, Caitlin and her husband Robert began Point Creek RV Rentals, with a vision of allowing families to connect and make lasting memories together.
Caitlin is involved with several organizations, including the Remember Nhu Foundation, which works to keep children out of the sex trade industry, and the World Food Program, which provides lifesaving food to those who need it most. She serves on the Board of Lakeland University, her alma mater, working to ensure that those who want an education can attain one, regardless of financial situation. Last year, she began Olivü 426’s “Benelip Balm program,” donating proceeds of the product to local charities such as the Shaw Family Playground, STARS Youth Program, and Nourish, while raising awareness about their work.
A Kohler native, when not running her businesses, Caitlin enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband and two children, Truman and Charlei. A bit of a country girl at heart, she loves to camp, fish, garden and raise bees and is always looking for her next adventure.
“First and foremost, I am extremely humbled to even be considered for this award. I have been blessed to grow up in Sheboygan County, where I have had such amazing leadership role models. I have watched those leaders sacrifice to help our community be strong and a beautiful place to raise a family. I want to be one of those leaders, to serve and help others where I can and to continue helping families in Sheboygan thrive.”
